Reliability Engineer

Our client is a world leader in bringing innovative diagnostic and research tools to life scientists, clinical researchers, laboratory professionals, and clinicians who are involved in basic research, drug discovery and development, biopharmaceutical production, and disease management.

In this position you will:
* Design and integrate test fixture hardware with data acquisition systems developed for executing reliability engineering life testing.
* Report events and test results.
* Troubleshoot fixtures failures as necessary.
* Collaboratively work with project teams to meet assigned deliverables in a timely manner.
* Assemble Proto-type systems and execute design verification tests.

Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong hands-on and machine shop skills to build engineering fixtures.
* Strong engineering lab skills, with ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Strong LabView programming skills and developing data acquisition systems.
* Demonstrated ability to keep neat, accurate and complete records and logs.
* Demonstrated ability to utilize test and measurement equipment.
* Experienced PC user, familiar with: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Windows
* Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and programs.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Effective interpersonal skills.
* Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
* Effective troubleshooting skills.
* Understanding of basic statistical terms and concepts.
* Willingness to prepare blood samples for testing (training will be provided).

Requirements:
* A minimum of a Bachelors Degree
* Strong Lab View programming skills
* Strong data acquisition system integration
* A minimum of 2 years experience in the development of engineering test fixtures: specifically experience with developing acquisition systems and integrating with hardware.
* A minimum of 3 years of hands on laboratory experience.

Additional preferred skills:
* Basic hands on knowledge of Flow Cytometry, including instrument platforms and software applications.
* Knowledge of immunology, hematology and/or clinical chemistry in the clinical, research or pharmaceutical environment.
* Knowledge of reliability fundamentals and basic understanding of reliability analysis
* Experience with blood-work testing.
* Technical writing for the preparation of plans and reports.
