DESCRIPTION:
We are going be using Cassandra as their primary data store... so, they need someone to work on the internals just about full time.
RESPONIBILITIES:
• Dive deep into the Cassandra community & become a regular project contributor
• Work on Cassandra's internals (performance, new features - the whole 9)
• Be an integral part of our infrastructure team & help us make sure we build a rock solid, fast & scalable backend
REQUIREMENTS:
• Senior level engineer
• Ideally you've got experience with distributed, peer to peer systems
• Know your data structures, algorithms & theory: Vector clocks and all that good stuff don't phase you
• You've heard of (better yet, contributed to) the Cassandra, Hbase or Hypertable projects & want to get paid to work on the Cassandra internals
• The BigTable & Dynamo papers read like a bedtime story to you
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
